Through his work with Elder Moving, Colby is renowned for his empathetic and compassionate approach. With a keen understanding of emotionally challenging times, Colby is committed to providing a service that is sensitive, respectful and considerate of individual circumstances.

With a passion for local history and ephemera. He spends his free time delving into archives, uncovering forgotten tales, and collecting artifacts that tell the story of Vancouver Island's past. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and appreciation for the region's heritage with anyone seeking insight into its rich history.

Kayla Scheele, Certified Relocation & Transition Specialist (CRTS™), is the visionary founder of Elder Moving™ & co-founder of North Island Estate Liquidation, is motivated by a dedication to honesty and integrity.  Kayla has been supporting Seniors and those in the vulnerable sector for over 15 years in different contexts, such as senior & youth group homes, community outreach, and personalized in-home support.  Elder Moving™ was born after Kayla uncovered a growing need in the community for caring move management for seniors.  

A free spirit from an early age, Kayla has traveled extensively and worn many hats, from helping design Michel Bublé's wedding to training as a holistic Doula. With a background in Exhibit Design and a passion for creating functional and beautiful spaces, it was only natural that Kayla would combine her love of design with her passion for helping seniors and her expertise in moving.  

Kayla knows from experience how to make moving stress-free. That's why she goes the extra mile to handle your move with patience and care.

Jonny is the steady presence behind every successful moving day at Elder Moving. With a professional background in film set decoration and logistics, he brings years of experience coordinating complex environments, carefully handling valuable items, and ensuring every detail is executed safely and efficiently. His calm, methodical approach helps seniors and families feel reassured, knowing their belongings are in capable hands.

Jonny plays a key role in preparing fragile and meaningful items for transport, from artwork and antiques to delicate personal belongings. He carefully wraps, protects, loads, and transports each item with precision, ensuring everything arrives safely and is placed exactly where it belongs. He also supports estate cleanouts and post-move home preparation, helping families complete every stage of the transition.

Known for his reassuring and steady nature, Jonny brings quiet confidence to what can otherwise feel like an overwhelming day. Clients appreciate his patience, attention to detail, and consistent care throughout the moving process.

Before joining Elder Moving full-time, Jonny spent many years working in Vancouver’s film industry. He chose to transition into this work to spend more time at home in the Comox Valley with his wife and two children, and to be part of a team focused on helping people in his own community.

Jonny is also an experienced landscaper with a lifelong passion for plants and outdoor spaces. His practical skills, strong work ethic, and thoughtful approach make him an invaluable part of the Elder Moving team. As the second-longest-serving team member after Kayla, he has helped shape the dependable, trusted service families have come to rely on. 

Families appreciate Jonny’s steady presence and the confidence that everything will be handled safely, respectfully, and without stress.

Roger Langill is a kind, honest, and family-oriented individual whose passion for antique collecting, restoration, and valuations has made him an indispensable asset to the Elder Moving team. A spiritual person with a deep appreciation for people, history and craftsmanship, Roger brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every project he undertakes. His caring nature and his strong family values make him a trusted and respected member of our team, and we are truly honoured to have him as part of our organization.

Having developed a passion for classic cars from an early age. Roger grew up in a family-owned shop, he honed his mechanical skills by restoring classic cars and working on small engines under the guidance of his father, who instilled in him a strong work ethic and a deep knowledge of mechanics. Known as "Mr. Fix-It," Roger has a remarkable ability to repair and restore items that others might discard, helping us to find added value in every estate.

Roger's appreciation for antiques and hot rods began during his youth when his family traveled south each winter. During these trips, they explored historic towns, visited antique shops, thrift stores, and bookstores, igniting his lifelong fascination with vintage items. This early exposure led to an extensive expertise in antiques and collectibles, with Roger developing a keen eye for identifying valuable pieces. His knowledge plays a vital role in ensuring accurate pricing, guaranteeing that each item’s true worth is recognized.
