Elder Moving™ is a trusted senior move management company based in the Comox Valley, helping seniors and their families navigate relocation, downsizing, and life transitions with calm, organized, and compassionate support.
Elder Moving™ is led by a Certified Relocation & Transition Specialist (CRTS™) and an experienced team specializing in senior relocation, downsizing, and estate transitions serving communities from Nanaimo to Campbell River, and beyond.
We provide compassionate, professional support to help seniors and families navigate life transitions with clarity, dignity, and confidence.

Elder Moving™ was created to provide thoughtful, reliable moving support for older adults and their families.
The idea began when Kayla relocated to the Comox Valley and experienced firsthand how much planning, coordination, and energy even an organized move requires. She realized that if moving felt overwhelming under normal circumstances, it could be far more difficult for seniors navigating major life transitions. Combining her skills in project coordination, event logistics, and interior design with her passion for helping others, Kayla founded Elder Moving™ to provide calm, personalized, and respectful support for seniors and their families.
Today, Colby Owen serves as the owner and on-site coordinator, leading the team with the same commitment to care, trust, and attention to detail that inspired the company’s founding. His hands-on approach ensures every move is carefully managed, and families can feel confident knowing a knowledgeable, compassionate leader is overseeing each transition.
Together, Kayla’s vision and Colby’s leadership continue to guide Elder Moving™, creating a team dedicated to making life’s transitions smoother, safer, and more comfortable for seniors and their families.
We understand that inviting people into your home requires trust. Every member of our team has been carefully selected not only for their experience, but for their patience, professionalism, and compassion.
Families rely on Elder Moving™ because we provide:
• Specialized experience supporting seniors and their families
• A calm, respectful, and patient approach
• Full-service move management from planning to complete home setup
• Careful protection of meaningful and fragile belongings
• Consistent communication throughout the entire process
• A trusted, experienced team — never temporary movers
Our role is to make each transition feel organized, supported, and manageable.
Elder Moving is led by owner and on-site coordinator Colby, alongside a trusted team with diverse experience in logistics, antiques, design, and senior support. Together, we provide reliable, hands-on service throughout every stage of the moving process.
